حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي شَيْبَانَ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ
إِذَا مَرَّتْ بِكُمْ جِنَازَةٌ، فَإِنْ كَانَ مُسْلِمًا أَوْ يَهُودِيًّا أَوْ نَصْرَانِيًّا فَقُومُوا لَهَا، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَهَا نَقُومُ، وَلَكِنْ نَقُومُ لِمَنْ مَعَهَا مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ.

✧ When a funeral procession passes by you, whether it is a Muslim, a Jew, or a Christian, stand up for it. It is not for it that we stand, but we stand for the angels who are with it.
