- Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr
machine translationThis hadith was narrated solely by Yazīd b. Abī Ziyād, and he is not one who is relied upon as evidence when someone more reliable than him contradicts him, because of his weakness.
machine translationYazīd b. Abī Ziyād is a weak (ḍaʿīf) narrator in the chain.
in مسند أحمد, p. 1949 - Abū Zakariyyā Yaḥyá b. Sharaf al-Nawawī
machine translationA weak (ḍaʿīf) hadith that is not sound to use as evidence, because Yazīd b. Abī Ziyād, one of its narrators, is unanimously agreed to be weak, especially as his narration contradicts the trustworthy narrators.
in مسند أحمد, p. 1949 - Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationYazīd b. Abī Ziyād was alone in narrating it, and his memory had changed; this is among his weak hadith.

- Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationIn its chain is Yazīd b. Abī Ziyād, who is weak (ḍaʿīf); he grew old and his memory changed.
in مسند أحمد, p. 1949 - Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr
machine translationIt revolves around Yazīd b. Abī Ziyād, who in their view is not one to be relied upon as evidence in what he is contradicted in or narrates alone; some of them do not rely on him for anything because of his weakness.
in مسند أحمد, p. 1949 - Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr

machine translationThis is a weak (ḍaʿīf) hadith because of Yazīd b. Abī Ziyād mentioned in its chain, for he was alone in narrating it and is not relied upon as evidence because of his weakness, especially as he contradicted the narration of the trustworthy narrators on it.
in مسند أحمد, p. 1949
