✧ A caravan of livestock was presented to the Prophet ﷺ, so he gave me a dinar and said: "O Urwa, go to the caravan and buy us a sheep." I went to the caravan, bargained with its owner, and bought two sheep from him for a dinar. I came driving them—or he said: leading them—when a man met me and bargained with me, so I sold him one sheep for a dinar. I came with the dinar and with the [remaining] sheep, and said: "O Messenger of God, here is your dinar and here is your sheep." He said: "And how did you manage that?" So I told him the story. He said: "O God, bless him in the bargain of his right hand." I saw myself standing in the market of Kunasa in Kufa, profiting forty thousand before I reached my family. [He said:] And he used to buy and sell slave girls.
