حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْمِنْهَالِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ وَزَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ
عَنِ الصَّرْفِ فَهَذَا يَقُولُ سَلْ هَذَا فَإِنَّهُ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي وَأَعْلَمُ وَهَذَا يَقُولُ سَلْ هَذَا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي وَأَعْلَمُ قَالَ فَسَأَلْتُهُمَا فَكِلَاهُمَا يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَرِقِ بِالذَّهَبِ دَيْنًا وَسَأَلْتُ هَذَا فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَرِقِ بِالذَّهَبِ دَيْنًا

✧ About money exchange. This one says: "Ask this one, for he is better than me and more knowledgeable," and this one says: "Ask this one, for he is better than me and more knowledgeable." He said: I asked both of them, and each said: "The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade selling silver for gold on credit." And I asked this one, and he said: "The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade selling silver for gold on credit."
