حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَخْبَرَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَأَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَزْهَرَ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ وَهُوَ يَتَخَلَّلُ النَّاسَ، يَسْأَلُ عَنْ رَحْلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ، فَأُتِيَ بِسَكْرَانَ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ أَنْ يَضْرِبُوهُ بِمَا كَانَ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ، وَحَثَى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ التُّرَابَ

Translation

✧ I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ on the day of Hunayn making his way through the people, asking about the camp of Khalid b. al-Walid. A drunk man was brought to him, and the Messenger of God ﷺ ordered those with him to strike him with whatever they had in their hands, and the Messenger of God ﷺ threw dust at him.
