حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ يَعْنِي الْجُرَيْرِيَّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ مَاعِزٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ: إِيمَانٌ بِاللهِ وَحْدَهُ، ثُمَّ الْجِهَادُ، ثُمَّ حَجَّةٌ بَرَّةٌ تَفْضُلُ سَائِرَ الْعَمَلِ، كَمَا بَيْنَ مَطْلِعِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَى مَغْرِبِهَا

Translation

  6. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ He was asked: "Which deeds are most excellent?" He said: "Faith in God alone, then jihād, then an accepted ḥajj that surpasses all other deeds as the distance between the rising of the sun and its setting."
