حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ قَالَ
شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ بِعَرَفَةَ، فَأَتَاهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ نَجْدٍ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، كَيْفَ الْحَجُّ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: الْحَجُّ عَرَفَةُ، مَنْ جَاءَ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ مِنْ لَيْلَةِ جَمْعٍ تَمَّ حَجُّهُ، أَيَّامُ مِنًى ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ، فَمَنْ تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ، وَمَنْ تَأَخَّرَ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَرْدَفَ خَلْفَهُ رَجُلًا، فَجَعَلَ يُنَادِي بِهِنَّ

✧ I witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was standing at 'Arafah, when some people from the people of Najd came to him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how is the Hajj?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The Hajj is 'Arafah. Whoever comes before the dawn prayer on the night of Jam' (Muzdalifah), his Hajj is complete. The days of Mina are three days. Whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin upon him, and whoever delays, there is no sin upon him.' Then he mounted a man behind him and began proclaiming these things.
