✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was moving his lips during the days of Ḥunayn with something he had not done before. He said: "The Prophet ﷺ said: 'There was a prophet among those before you whose community pleased him, and he said: "These will never be overcome by anything." So God revealed to him: "Give them a choice between one of three: either I set upon them an enemy from other than them who will annihilate them, or hunger, or death." He said: "They said: 'As for killing or hunger, we have no strength for it, but death.'" He said: "The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'So seventy thousand died in three [days].' He said: "So now I say: 'O God, with You I strive, with You I attack, and with You I fight.'"
