✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting among a group of his companions. Abd al-Razzaq said: from the Ansar. He said: A great shooting star was thrown and lit up. He said: 'What did you used to say when something like this happened in the Jahiliyyah?' They said: 'We used to say: A great person is born, or a great person dies.' I said to al-Zuhri: 'Was it thrown in the Jahiliyyah?' He said: 'Yes, but it intensified when the Prophet ﷺ was sent.' He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed, it is not thrown for the death of anyone or for his life. But when our Lord, blessed be His name, decrees a matter, the bearers of the Throne glorify Him, then the people of the heaven who are next to them glorify Him, until the glorification reaches this lowest heaven. Then the people of the heaven who are next to the bearers of the Throne ask, and those next to the bearers of the Throne say to the bearers of the Throne: What did your Lord say? So they inform them, and the people of each heaven inform the next, until the news reaches this heaven. The jinn snatch the hearing and are pelted. What they bring as it is, is true, but they distort it and add to it.'
