✧ My father, al-Sanabil bin Ba'akkak

حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَكَّائِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ وَالْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِي السَّنَابِلِ قَالَ
وَلَدَتْ سُبَيْعَةُ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا بِثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ - أَوْ خَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ - لَيْلَةً، فَتَشَوَّفَتْ، فَأُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَأُخْبِرَ، فَقَالَ: إِنْ تَفْعَلْ فَقَدْ مَضَى أَجَلُهَا

✧ Subay'ah gave birth twenty-three - or twenty-five - nights after her husband's death, then she adorned herself. The Prophet ﷺ was informed and said: 'If she does so, her waiting period has ended.'

وقد أخرج الترمذي والنسائي قصة سبيعة من رواية الأسود عند أبي السنابل بسند على شرط الشيخين إلى الأسود وهو من كبار التابعين من أصحاب ابن مسعود ولم يوصف بالتدليس فالحديث صحيح على شرط مسلم لكن البخاري على قاعدته في اشتراط ثبوت اللقاء ولو مرة فلهذا قال ما نقله الترمذي
