حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ بِثَمَانِيَ عَشْرَةَ بَدَنَةً مَعَ رَجُلٍ، فَأَمَرَهُ فِيهَا بِأَمْرِهِ، فَانْطَلَقَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ أَزْحَفَ عَلَيْنَا مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ، فَقَالَ: انْحَرْهَا، ثُمَّ اصْبُغْ نَعْلَهَا فِي دَمِهَا، ثُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا عَلَى صَفْحَتِهَا، وَلَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهَا أَنْتَ، وَلَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ رُفْقَتِكَ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent eighteen camels for sacrifice with a man, and he instructed him concerning them. He set off, then returned to him and said: What do you think if one of them becomes too exhausted to walk? He said: Slaughter it, then dip its sandal in its blood, then place it on its side, and do not eat from it, neither you nor any of your companions.
