حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ، وَالْحُدَيْبِيَةُ بِئْرٌ، قَالَ: وَنَحْنُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ مِائَةً، قَالَ: فَإِذَا فِي الْمَاءِ قِلَّةٌ قَالَ: فَنَزَعَ دَلْوًا ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ ثُمَّ مَجَّ، وَدَعَا قَالَ: فَرَوِينَا وَأَرْوَيْنَا

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. Isrāʾīl
  3. Abū Isḥāq
  4. al-Barāʾ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was in Hudaybiyah and Hudaybiyah had a well. He said, "We were fourteen hundred [men]." He said, "Then, there was a shortage of water." He took a bucket, rinsed his mouth, and spat into it. Then, he poured the water back into the well and said, "Show us and quench our thirst."
