✧ The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, fought in fifteen battles. Waki' narrated to us, from Fitr, from Saad ibn Ubaydah, from Al-Bara' ibn Azib, that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, said to a man: "When you go to your bed, purified, say: O Allah, I have submitted myself to You, set my face towards You, entrusted my affairs to You, out of fear and desire for You. There is no place of safety and escape from You except with You. I believe in the Book You have revealed and in the Prophet You have sent. If you take my soul during my sleep, forgive it, and if you keep it alive after waking up, protect it as You protect Your righteous servants. When the man woke up, he followed the Prophet's instructions and he said: I have achieved a lot of goodness." Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) said: My father heard this narration from Saad ibn Ubaydah, who heard it from Al-Bara' ibn Azib.
