حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ قَالَ
صَالَحَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ عَلَى أَنْ يُقِيمُوا ثَلَاثًا [وَأَنْ لَا] يَدْخُلُوهَا إِلَّا بِجُلُبَّانِ السِّلَاحِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: وَمَا جُلُبَّانُ السِّلَاحِ ؟ قَالَ: الْقِرَابُ وَمَا فِيهِ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ made peace with the people of Makkah on the condition that they stay for three days and that he would not enter it except with the sheaths of weapons. He said: I said: “What is the sheath of weapons?” He said: “The scabbard and what is in it.”
