✧ Abu Bakr sought permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he heard the voice of 'A'ishah raised, saying, 'By Allah, I have known that 'Ali is dearer to you than my father'—twice or three times. Abu Bakr sought permission, entered, and leaned toward her, saying, 'O daughter of so-and-so! Shall I not hear you raising your voice over the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?!'
