✧ al-Nu'man bin Bashir on the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَسُرَيْجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ
وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِوَقْتِ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ، كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّيهَا لِسُقُوطِ الْقَمَرِ لِثَالِثَةٍ

✧ By Allah, I am the most knowledgeable of people about the time of this prayer—the last evening prayer ('isha'). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray it when the moon set on the third night.
