✧ al-Nu'man bin Bashir on the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ وَحُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ
ذَهَبَ أَبِي بَشِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لِيُشْهِدَهُ عَلَى نُحْلٍ نَحَلَنِيهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَكُلَّ بَنِيكَ نَحَلْتَ مِثْلَ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ: لَا. قَالَ: فَارْجِعْهَا

✧ My father, Bashir b. Sa'd, went to the Messenger of God ﷺ to have him witness a gift he had given me. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Have you given all your sons the like of this?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Then take it back.'
