✧ The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ. He said: He would pray two rak'ahs, then supplicate, then pray two rak'ahs, then supplicate, until the sun cleared. He said: Then he said: Some people of the pre-Islamic era say—or claim—that the sun and the moon, when one of them eclipses, they only eclipse for the death of a great one among the great people of the earth. But that is not so. Rather, they are two creatures among God's creatures; when God, Almighty and Majestic, manifests Himself to something of His creation, it humbles itself before Him.
