✧ Concerning me this verse was revealed. We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entering ihram for an Umrah, and lice fell on my head, beard, eyebrows, and mustache. That reached the Prophet ﷺ, so he sent for me and called me. When he saw me, he said: 'Affliction has befallen you while we did not realize. Call the cupper for me.' When he came, he ordered him, and he shaved me. He said: 'Can you afford a sacrifice?' I said: 'No.' He said: 'Then fast three days, or feed six poor persons, for each poor person half a sa' of dates.'
