حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا مَجْمَعُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ مِنْ أَهْلِ قُبَاءَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ أَنَّ بَعْضَ أَهْلِهِ قَالَ لِجَدِّهِ مِنْ قِبَلِ أُمِّهِ وَهُوَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ
مَا أَدْرَكْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: أَتَانَا فِي مَسْجِدِنَا هَذَا فَجِئْتُ فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ، فَأُتِيَ بِشَرَابٍ فَشَرِبَ، ثُمَّ نَاوَلَنِي وَأَنَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، قَالَ: وَرَأَيْتُهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ صَلَّى فِي نَعْلَيْهِ، وَأَنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ غُلَامٌ

✧ What did you witness from the Messenger of God ﷺ? He said: He came to us in this mosque of ours, so I came and sat beside him. Then a drink was brought, and he drank, then he handed it to me while I was on his right. He said: And I saw him that day praying in his sandals, while I was then a boy.
