✧ We hunted dabb lizards while we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in one of his expeditions. He said: People cooked and roasted. He said: I took a dabb and roasted it, then brought it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and placed it before him. He took a stick and began to turn over its toes with it, or count them, then said: "A nation of the Children of Israel was transformed into beasts on the earth, and I do not know which beasts they are." He said: I said: People have roasted. He said: He did not eat from it, nor did he forbid them from it.
