✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: 'O Amr, gird on your weapon and your garments and come to me.' I did so and came to him while he was performing ablution. He raised his gaze toward me and lowered it and said: 'O Amr, I wish to send you on an expedition, and God will grant you safety and spoils, and I will give you a good portion of wealth.' I said: 'O Messenger of God, I did not become Muslim out of desire for wealth; I became Muslim out of desire for jihad and being with you.' He said: 'O Amr, how excellent is good wealth for a good man.'
