حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِحَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ: مَا أَغْنَيْتَ عَنْ عَمِّكَ، فَقَدْ كَانَ يَحُوطُكَ، وَيَغْضَبُ لَكَ؟ قَالَ: هُوَ فِي ضَحْضَاحٍ، وَلَوْلَا أَنَا لَكَانَ فِي الدَّرْكِ الْأَسْفَلِ مِنَ النَّارِ

Translation

✧ I said to the Prophet ﷺ: What have you availed your uncle? For he used to protect you and become angry for you. He said: He is in a shallow part, and were it not for me, he would have been in the lowest depths of the Fire.
