✧ He passed by with a companion of his in Ayman, and there were youths of Quraysh who had untied their loincloths and made them into whips with which they were beating each other while naked. Abdullah said: When we passed by them, they said: 'These are priests, so leave them alone.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to them, and when they saw him, they scattered. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned angry until he entered, and I was behind the room. I heard him say: 'Glory be to Allah! They did not feel shame before Allah, nor did they cover themselves from His Messenger.' Umm Ayman was with him, saying: 'Seek forgiveness for them, O Messenger of Allah.' Abdullah said: It was with difficulty that he sought forgiveness for them.
