✧ A man among the companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ fell ill, and his companions entered to visit him. He wept, and it was said to him: What makes you weep, O Abu 'Abd Allah? Did not the Messenger of God ﷺ say to you: "Trim your moustache, then keep it until you meet me"? He said: Yes, but I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: "God [Mighty and Majestic] grasped a handful with His right hand and said: This is for this, and I do not care; and He grasped another handful [meaning] with His other hand [Majestic and Exalted] and said: This is for this, and I do not care." So I do not know in which of the two handfuls I am.
