✧ Abū Ayyūb traveled to ʿUqbah b. ʿĀmir in Egypt and said: 'I am asking you about a matter of which no one who witnessed it from the Messenger of God ﷺ remains except me and you. How did you hear the Messenger of God ﷺ speak about concealing a believer?' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: "Whoever conceals a believer in this world regarding a private fault, God [Mighty and Majestic] will conceal him on the Day of Resurrection."' Then he returned to Madinah and did not even unload his saddle before narrating this hadith.
