✧ While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, two riders appeared. When he saw them, he said: Kindī, Madhḥijī—until they came to him. They were men from Madhḥij. One of them drew near to pledge allegiance to him. When he took his hand, he said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about one who saw you, believed in you, affirmed you, and followed you—what is for him? He said: Ṭūbā for him. Then he wiped his hand and departed. Then the other came forward and took his hand to pledge allegiance. He said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about one who believed in you, affirmed you, and followed you but did not see you? He said: Ṭūbā for him, then Ṭūbā for him, then Ṭūbā for him. Then he wiped his hand and departed.
