✧ A gray mule was gifted to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he rode it. ʿUqbah took hold of its reins [for him]. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to ʿUqbah, “Recite.” He said, “What shall I recite, O Messenger of God?” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Recite: ‘Say: I take refuge in the Lord of the dawn.’” He repeated it to him until he recited it, and he realized that I was not very pleased with it. He said, “Perhaps you have belittled it! You will not stand to pray with anything like it.”
