حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ حَدَّثَنَا رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ: مَا تَذْكُرُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: أَدْخَلَنِي غُرْفَةَ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَأَخَذْتُ مِنْهَا تَمْرَةً، فَأَلْقَيْتُهَا فِي فَمِي، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَلْقِهَا، فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَحِلُّ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ، وَلَا لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

Translation

✧ He said to al-Hasan b. Ali: What do you remember of the Messenger of God ﷺ? He said: He brought me into the room of the sadaqah, and I took a date from it and put it in my mouth. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Spit it out, for it is not lawful for the Messenger of God or for anyone of his household.
