✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a man who was with him: “This one is among the people of the Fire.” When fighting approached, the man fought the fiercest battle until he was covered with many wounds. Some men among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ came to him and said: “O Messenger of Allah, do you see the man you mentioned as being among the people of the Fire? By Allah, he has fought fiercely in the path of Allah and has many wounds.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Indeed, he is among the people of the Fire.” Some people were about to doubt. While they were in that state, the man felt the pain of his wounds, reached his hand to his quiver, pulled out an arrow, and killed himself with it. A Muslim man hurried to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: “O Prophet of Allah, Allah has confirmed your statement. So-and-so has killed himself.”
