✧ Waathilah bin al-Asqa' "Also narrated in al-Mukayyin and al-Madiniyyin except for a few Hadiths, some of which have been verified here, while the rest are found in al-Mukayyin and al-Madiniyyin.

حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ وَأَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْوَاحِدِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ النَّصْرِيَّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يَقُولُ قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ

إِنَّ مِنْ أَعْظَمِ الْفِرَى أَنْ يَدَّعِيَ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ، أَوْ يُرِيَ عَيْنَيْهِ فِي الْمَنَامِ مَا لَمْ تَرَيَا، أَوْ يَقُولَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَا لَمْ يَقُلْ

✧ "The greatest of lies is for a man to claim to be someone's father when he is not, or for him to see in a dream something that his eyes have not seen, or to attribute something to the Messenger of Allah that he did not say."
