حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَرْطَاةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُنْذِرِ حَدَّثَنَا ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَلَمَةُ بْنُ نُفَيْلٍ السَّكُونِيُّ قَالَ
كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِذْ قَالَ قَائِلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، هَلْ أُتِيتَ بِطَعَامٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: وَبِمَاذَا ؟ قَالَ: بِسَخْنَةٍ، قَالُوا: فَهَلْ كَانَ فِيهَا فَضْلٌ عَنْكَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَمَا فُعِلَ بِهِ ؟ قَالَ: رُفِعَ وَهُوَ يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنِّي مَكْفُوتٌ غَيْرُ لَابِثٍ فِيكُمْ، وَلَسْتُمْ لَابِثُونَ بَعْدِي إِلَّا قَلِيلًا، بَلْ تَلْبَثُونَ حَتَّى تَقُولُوا: مَتَى. وَسَتَأْتُونَ أَفْنَادًا، يُفْنِي بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا، وَبَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ مُوتَانٌ شَدِيدٌ، وَبَعْدَهُ سَنَوَاتُ الزَّلَازِلِ
Translation

✧ We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when someone said: "O Messenger of Allah, have you been given food from the heavens?" He said: "Yes." He said: "And with what?" He said: "With a hot meal." They said: "Was there any left over from it besides you?" He said: "Yes." He said: "What was done with it?" He said: "It was taken up, and it was revealed to me that I am being held back, not staying among you, and you will not stay after me except a little. Rather, you will stay until you say: 'When?' And you will come in separate groups, destroying one another. Before the Hour there will be a severe death, and after it years of earthquakes."
