حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ جَارِيَةَ أخْبَرَهُ
أَنَّهُ كَانَ جَالِسًا فِي نَفَرٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ مُعَاوِيَةُ فَسَأَلَهُمْ عَنْ حَدِيثِهِمْ، فَقَالُوا: كُنَّا فِي حَدِيثٍ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ: أَلَا أَزِيدُكُمْ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ فَقَالُوا: بَلَى يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ. فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ أَحَبَّ الْأَنْصَارَ أَحَبَّهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَ الْأَنْصَارَ أَبْغَضَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ

✧ He was sitting with a group of the Anṣār when Muʿāwiyah came out to them and asked about their conversation. They said: 'We were in a discussion from the discussions of the Anṣār.' Muʿāwiyah said: 'Shall I not add to you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' They said: 'Yes, O Commander of the Believers.' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever loves the Anṣār, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, loves him; and whoever hates the Anṣār, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, hates him.'
