✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was on a journey and said, “Who will guard us tonight so that we do not sleep through the dawn prayer?” Bilal said, “I will.” He faced the rising place of the sun, and sleep overcame them. Nothing awakened them except the heat of the sun. They got up and performed it, then performed ablution. Bilal gave the call to prayer, and they prayed the two rak‘ahs, then prayed the dawn prayer.
