✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of God, which of the lands is worst?” He said, “I do not know.” When Gabriel ﷺ came to him, he said, “O Gabriel, which of the lands is worst?” He said, “I do not know until I ask my Lord, Mighty and Majestic.” Gabriel ﷺ departed, then remained as long as God willed him to remain, then came and said, “O Muhammad, you asked me which of the lands is worst, and I said, ‘I do not know.’ I asked my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, which of the lands is worst, and He said, ‘Their marketplaces.’”
