حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُنِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ قَالَ
قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَأَسْلَمْتُ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، اجْعَلْ لِقَوْمِي مَا أَسْلَمُوا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ، فَفَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَاسْتَعْمَلَنِي عَلَيْهِمْ، ثُمَّ اسْتَعْمَلَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ، ثُمَّ اسْتَعْمَلَنِي عُمَرُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ
Translation

✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and embraced Islam. I said: O Messenger of Allah, grant my people what they embraced Islam upon from their wealth. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did so and appointed me over them. Then Abu Bakr ؓ appointed me after him, then ʿUmar appointed me after him.
