قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ بِحَدِيثِ الصَّعْبِ هَذَا عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَبْلَ أَنْ نَلْقَاهُ فَقَالَ
فِيهِ هُمْ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ تَفَقَّدْتُهُ فَلَمْ يَقُلْ وَقَالَ هُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُمْ
Translation

✧ In it: "They are of their fathers." When al-Zuhrī came to us, I checked with him and he did not say that, but he said: "They are better than them."
