Musnad Ahmad 16609

Translation

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent him, he said: Have you returned? I said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you command me regarding those that are injured? He said: Slaughter it, then dip its sandal in its blood, then place it on its side or flank. Do not eat from it, neither you nor anyone from your traveling party.
