حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَرَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُخَلَّادُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ تَأْمُرَ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ وَالْإِهْلَالِ وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ أَوْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ قَالَ وَلَا أَدْرِي أَيُّنَا وَهِلَ أَنَا أَوْ عَبْدُ اللهِ أَوْ خَلَّادٌ فِي الْإِهْلَالِ أَوِ التَّلْبِيَةِ

✧ He heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: "Gabriel ﷺ came to me and said: 'God commands you to command your companions to raise their voices with the talbiyah and the ihlaal.'" Rawh said: "with the talbiyah or with the ihlaal." He said: "I do not know which of us erred—I, ‘Abd Allah, or Khallad—regarding the ihlaal or the talbiyah."
