✧ Salama came to Madinah, and Burayda b. al-Ḥuṣayb met him and said: “Have you turned back from your emigration, O Salama?” He said: “God forbid! I am under permission from the Messenger of God ﷺ. I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: ‘Go out to the desert, O Aslam, and scent the winds and dwell in the mountain passes.’ They said: ‘We fear, O Messenger of God, that this will harm us in our emigration.’ He said: ‘You are emigrants wherever you are.’”
