حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا نُعْمَانُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ فُلَانًا أَوْسٌ جَدُّهُ قَالَ
كَانَ جَدِّي يَقُولُ لِي وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ يُومِئُ إِلَيَّ: نَاوِلْنِي النَّعْلَيْنِ، فَأُنَاوِلُهُمَا إِيَّاهُ، فَيَلْبَسُهُمَا وَيُصَلِّي فِيهِمَا، وَيَقُولُ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْهِ

✧ My grandfather would say to me while he was in prayer, gesturing to me: Hand me the two sandals. I would hand them to him, and he would put them on and pray in them. He would say: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray in his sandals.
