✧ A man from the Ansar brought a dispute against al-Zubayr before the Messenger of God ﷺ concerning the channels of the Harrah through which they irrigated the palm trees. The Ansari said to al-Zubayr, 'Release the water,' but he refused. So the Messenger of God ﷺ spoke, saying, 'Irrigate, O Zubayr, then release the water to your neighbor.' The Ansari became angry and said, 'O Messenger of God, is it because he is your aunt's son?' His face changed color, then he said, 'Retain the water until it reaches the base of the wall.' Al-Zubayr said, 'By God, I think this verse was revealed about that: "But no, by your Lord, they will not believe until they make you judge in what arises between them" up to His saying: "and submit fully."'
