  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationHishām b. ʿUrwah narrates it from his father, and there is disagreement about it from him. Yūnus b. Bukayr and Muḥāḍir b. al-Muwarriʿ narrated it from Hishām, from his father, from al-Zubayr. Ibn ʿUyaynah and Abū Usāmah narrated it from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, from Ibn al-Munkadir, from Jābir, and this is the well-known version. If Yūnus b. Bukayr and Muḥāḍir preserved the hadith of al-Zubayr, then they have related something unusual (gharīb) from Hishām. Ḥammād b. Salamah and Mufaḍḍal b. Faḍālah narrated it from Hishām, from his father, as a mursal report. And Ḥammād b. Zayd said: from Hishām, from ʿAbdullāh b. al-Zubayr, that the Prophet ﷺ said that.
