حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ هَاشِمٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُلَاثَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ
جَاءَ نَفَرٌ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ صَاحِبًا لَنَا قَدْ أَوْجَبَ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لِيُعْتِقْ رَقَبَةً مِثْلَهُ يَفُكُّ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِكُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهَا عُضْوًا مِنْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ
Translation

✧ A group of men from Banu Sulaym came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of God, one of our companions has committed an offense that makes punishment obligatory.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said, 'Let him free a slave like himself; God, Mighty and Majestic, will ransom for every limb of the slave a limb of his from the Fire.'
