machine translationIsmāʿīl b. Abī Khālid narrates it from Muḥammad b. Saʿd, and there is disagreement about it from him. Zāʾidah, Khālid al-Wāsiṭī, Warqāʾ, Muḥammad b. Bishr and Ibn al-Mubārak narrated it from Ismāʿīl, from Muḥammad b. Saʿd, from Saʿd. ʿAlī b. Mushir and Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Qaṭṭān narrated it from Ismāʿīl, from Muḥammad b. Saʿd, as a mursal report (mursal). Mughīrah b. Muslim narrated it from Ismāʿīl b. Abī Khālid, from Qays b. Abī Ḥāzim, from al-Saʿdī, and he erred in it. The correct one is the hadith of Muḥammad b. Saʿd. Ismāʿīl b. Abī Khālid would at times narrate it as connected (mawṣūl) and at times as mursal.
