حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا زَمْعَةُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ مُلَازِمٌ رَجُلًا فِي أُوقِيَّتَيْنِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِلرَّجُلِ: هَكَذَا، أَيْ ضَعْ عَنْهُ الشَّطْرَ، قَالَ الرَّجُلُ: نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِلرَّجُلِ: أَدِّ إِلَيْهِ مَا بَقِيَ مِنْ حَقِّهِ.

✧ The Prophet ﷺ passed by him while he was pursuing a man for two uqiyyahs. The Prophet ﷺ said to the man: Like this, meaning reduce half of it for him. The man said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. Then the Prophet ﷺ said to the man: Pay him what remains of his due.
