حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي خُبَيْبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ نِيَارٍ قَالَ
جَاءَ سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ إِلَى مَجْلِسِنَا فَحَدَّثَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: إِذَا خَرَصْتُمْ فَجُدُّوا وَدَعُوا دَعُوا الثُّلُثَ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجُدُّوا وَتَدَعُوا فَدَعُوا الرُّبُعَ

✧ Sahl b. Abi Hathmah came to our gathering and narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When you estimate the produce, then harvest and leave a third; if you do not harvest and leave, then leave a quarter.'
