حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ
أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَسْتَعِينُهُ فِي مَهْرِ امْرَأَةٍ، فَقَالَ: كَمْ أَمْهَرْتَهَا ؟ قَالَ: مِائَتَيْ دِرْهَمٍ فَقَالَ: لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَغْرِفُونَ مِنْ بُطْحَانَ مَا زِدْتُمْ

✧ He came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking help with the dowry of a wife. He said: How much did you give as her dowry? He said: Two hundred dirhams. He said: If you were scooping from Buthan, you would not increase.
