✧ I entered upon Sa'd and said: A hadith that was narrated to me from you when the Messenger of God ﷺ appointed 'Ali over Madinah. He became angry and said: Who narrated it to you? I disliked telling him that his son narrated it to me, lest he become angry with him. Then he said: When the Messenger of God ﷺ set out on the expedition of Tabuk, he appointed 'Ali over Madinah. 'Ali said: O Messenger of God, I would not like you to set out on any expedition without me being with you. He said: Are you not pleased that you are to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there is no prophet after me?
