حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مُهِلِّينَ بِالْحَجِّ فَقَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ فَطُفْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَحِلُّوا وَاجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً إِلَّا مَنْ سَاقَ الْهَدْيَ قَالَ: فَسَطَعَتِ الْمَجَامِرُ وَوُوقِعَتِ النِّسَاءُ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ أَهْلَلْنَا بِالْحَجِّ، فَقَالَ سُرَاقَةُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، عُمْرَتُنَا هَذِهِ أَلِعَامِنَا أَمْ لِلْأَبَدِ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، بَلْ لِلْأَبَدِ.

✧ We set out with the Prophet ﷺ declaring the intention for Hajj. We arrived in Makkah and circumambulated the House and ran between al-Safa and al-Marwah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Exit ihram and make it an Umrah, except for those who have brought the sacrificial animal." He said, "So the perfume burners sent forth their fragrance, and women were had relations with." On the day of Tarwiyah, we declared the intention for Hajj. Suraqah b. Malik b. Ju'shum said, "O Messenger of Allah, is this Umrah of ours for this year only or forever?" He said, "No, rather forever."
